First solar high concentration of silicon in commercial exploitation of Europe into operation in Madrid. The facility, owned by IDEA (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving of Energy), requires 250 times less silicon than conventional photovoltaic systems to produce the same energy The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade through the IDEA, has financed the project with 200,000 euros. Because of its high efficiency and less need for silicon, this technology opens the way for the drastic reduction of costs.
