In Europe we pledged to meet 12% of our energy needs from renewable sources by 2010. We have done our homework, and now we lost the first assault by … but not the war.
The MEPs adopted that 25% of primary energy consumed in Europe in 2020 is from renewable sources. The exercise has different guidelines outlined in a roadmap will be implemented from 2010.
One of the most important measures which are intended añaza from that 2010 will increase to 1,200 million € of funding for R & D of renewable energy and improving energy efficiency. This is a very important news for the shift to clean energy commitment from ancient fossil fuels.
The other important point is the design of a European Treaty for Renewable Energies (Eurenew) to establish common goals for cooperation. Is requested to support this initiative in www.euronew.eu. I’ve already signed, for the good of all.
